| CUHK Accountancy Graduates Seized Eight Awards
in HKICPA’s Qualification Programme Examination
| Six graduates from the Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) of The Chinese University ofHong Kongachieved outstanding performance in the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (HKICPA) Qualification Programme (QP) examinations held in December 2009 and June 2010, winning nine out of 14 top prizes. Among all CUHK awardees, five are graduates of the Professional Accountancy Programme (PAC) while one is a finance graduate. PAC graduates have been continuously succeeded in winning the Gold Award, which is the top award for the QP final examination, as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales / Simon Morris Memorial Prize, which is a prize for achieving the highest aggregate marks for all the four modules (Module A – Financial Reporting, Module B – Financial Management, Module C – Auditing and Information Management, Module D – Taxation).

| 中大会计毕业生囊括会计师专业资格课程考试八大奖项
| 香港中文大学工商管理学士课程毕业生于香港会计师公会2009/2010年度会计师专业资格课程考试中取得彪炳成绩。是次考试于去年12月及本年6月举行，共颁发十四个奖项，其中九项殊荣由六位中大工商管理学士课程毕业生夺得，包括五位专业会计学课程的毕业生，以及一位主修财务的毕业生。在历届考试中，专业会计学课程毕业生屡获金奖（期终考试最佳成绩）及ICAEW/Simon Morris Memorial Prize（四个考试单元最佳总成绩，分别为：甲－财务报告，乙－财务管理，丙－核数及信息管理，以及丁－税务。）

| Top Scholars Gathered at CUHK to Discuss the Prospect of Humanities inAsia
| More than 40 prominent humanities scholars of top universities from around the globe assembled on the campus of The Chinese University ofHong Kongon 15 and 16 October for the 8th Annual Meeting of the Asian New Humanities Net (ANHN). Themed ‘Asian Humanities and/or Humanities inAsia’, this year’s meeting showcased the latest achievements in Asian humanities against the backdrop of academic globalization.

| 超过四十位来自世界各地顶尖大学的人文学者于10月15及16日齐集香港中文大学中大校园，参与为期两日的第八届亚洲新人文联网会议，就主题「亚洲人文学与人文学在亚洲」展示亚洲人文学科各领域的最新学术成就，并在学术全球化的背景下，共同思考亚洲地区人文学科之学术意涵。

由于一系列奇特的机缘巧合，一年前我结了中大。
听了十八年的清华与北大，最后竟是这样一种何其强烈的缘分，将我牵引到这陌生的香江之滨；带着忐忑与不安，迈入这所遥远的学府。没有想象中的车水马龙，没有听说里的钢铁森林，香港中文大学如处子般，安静地环卧于吐露港湾畔的清新海风中，摇曳着她恬美的微笑，细数着远山碧海的点点星辰。于是首先便爱上了她的芳容。
接下来的日子是漫长而刺激的探寻之旅。一面兴致勃勃地在粤语课上挥汗如雨，一面张大耳朵熟悉香港同学们的抑扬顿挫，当有一天突然在课堂上明白了同学们的讨论、不再需要本地生作翻译的时候，霎时便感觉自己仿佛正慢慢成为香港大家庭中的一员，真有种难于言表的激动与成就感。
语言之外，大一的基础班更是适时地给了我们一个自我发现的机会，于不同学科之间的权衡与比较中慢慢地了解自己的兴趣也渐渐地发掘自己的潜力，同时还有学习辅导主任的指引，在度过了近一学年的迷茫期后，终于能够找到自己的方向，自信地交上那份主修申请书。
此外，香港中文大学给我的最大影响莫过于独立精神的培养。藏书丰富的图书馆，资源充足的自学中心，遍布各地的交流计划，多姿多彩的学生活动以及持续不断的大师讲坛，构成了我们眼花缭乱的课后生活。在学习与娱乐的分配中慢慢提高自我管理的能力，在各种活动的取舍中慢慢增强把握机会的敏感与勇气。
对香港的生活从陌生到亲切，对未来的人生从迷茫到清晰，香港中文大学无疑是我人生中的一个重要转折点，一个真正成长的转折点。

| Being a School Relations Ambassador (SRA) is much more than just being a student representative of CUHK and to promote it to different people. It is about how you interact with people you meet, how you help them understand the beauty of CUHK, and how you inspire them.
I was one of the ambassadors receiving a group of secondary students under the YWCA Life Vision Leadership Training Scheme on 13 August 2010. The aim of their visit to CUHK was to meet university student leaders, so as to understand what university life is like, and how university student leaders view current issues.
